This is a very practical book. It seems as though it were written personally for you. For one thing it does not make you feel guilty for pass negative behavior. Cortney McDermott speaks to you as though you were a learner.He is the gentle teacher. He writes that we are all individuals.No one is like you. This is good. Then, you have no reason to become anxious. No one can steal you from you. Your talent is a personal gift.  There are many affirmations. Ones we want to remember and  will desire giving life to them in your life. There are tidbits of wise words from Les Brown and Morgan Freeman. One is about it never being too late to become a new person. Morgan Freeman began his acting career at Fifty years old. You know what? Life is worth living.Thank you to Net Galley and to D K.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
