 Before love there is hate. A girl and guy are both studying Archaeology. At first, she, Gail, can't stand the guy. Later, years, she begins to fall for him. She admits he is very handsome. This is a good romance. The hardship of one falling for the other who acts as though he is unaware of girls and dating. By the way they are studying Archaeology at the college level. So, they are mature and pretty knowledgeable. They are at the School of Archaeology in Madrid, Spain. It is a beautiful love story. One that makes you want to fall in love all over again.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
