 It is a celebration party for an author's newly published book. It gives us a chance to meet or meet again all the important characters. This introduction became long and boring. The main character's name is Samantha. Sam is her nickname. One guy named Dawson made a Cupcake cake. I became interested. I have never heard of that kind of cake. He made a chocolate one.Nana Jo is Sam's Grandmother. She and Sam know just about everybody. They believe in having friends. Sam is celebrating the publication of her first book. Yes, the poodles on the covers of the books belong to Sam. She would feel heartbroken if we did not give them a mention.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.

 My family must own some secrets too. It seems the normal thing. If they have any skeletons rattling in the closet,  they have been more than silent.
