 Fiona Figg is just too much fun. I will definitely look for more of her titles. In this one she goes undercover to see who is leaking information about animal research for the war effort. My new word is vivisection. Of course, Fiona Figg must prepare to look her best. That means hitting Harrods immediately. Oh, I stayed close to Fiona. Not wanting to miss a chance to touch or try on evening wear. The book is stunning.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
