 In her dreams,,  she lives in a parallel universe.Then, she comes back to a normal life. She  receives a model of one in the mail. There are no postal markings on it.  What comes out of the package she uses to create a parallel world. This book ix extremely different. That is if you have no knowledge of parallel universes.  I am the latter. Please enjoy this as a new experience or an old one. Perhaps, you have a guide like Brilliant Jade. Red Dust, White Snow does make you think of what our future worlds will look like. What if you do not want to experience it? Is there a word for no?  Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
