Not until I read "Leave The Lights On" by Liv Andersson did I know there are "varieties of lavender."" I haven't seen a tree house lately. If I need to or want to see one, I know where to find one. This story is like finding summer for the first time. Thinking about Luke becomes your loving summer goal. After all, how many secrets are there in the middle of no where?.

It is a retreat for artists. Each cabin is named after those who became allured to a life of creativity. People like Frida Kahlo. What drives them? They live to catch the moment no matter whether it is pleasing or not. The place is called Ross Island. Once it was a mental health center.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
