 Mary Margaret Miller lives in Trail, Ohio. She's quiet and stays to herself.  Soon, Mary's life goes through changes. This happens partly because Mary wants a change in her life. Becoming more extroverted is her goal.. Soon, there is a trip to Florida with other girls. All the girls are Amish. Each one wants  to change their personality. Because there purposes  blend the girls fit together like a well coordinated quilt.

 The greatest gift they desire is to become more honest with themselves and their friends and family. "Her Heart's Desire" by Shelley Shepard Gray encourages the men on the trip too. They also want to share their honest feelings during vacation and at home. The book leaves you wanting to take a vacation. While away there is time to renew your mind and your body. Who knows? When you return home, your family and friends might feel and see that you are a different person.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
