 Who would dare stop the Wendlebury Barrow buses? It would not help the community to stop the Highwayman buses. The Highwayman Buses had been late quite a few time..What stories are told! You can not help but laugh. One man tried to get on the bus with a canoe. The canoe was definitely the wrong size or the man did not know how to board the bus with one. Of course, all of these stories are taken seriously. Well, I am on the side of the ones who want the bus not to stop. Shucks, they riders can't survive without it. Thank you to Boldwood books.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
