She is quietly, gently told it has been too long. She must let her mother go and live without mourning. The book is deeply personal. The cover shows that Luna, named after the moon, will find love and happiness again. I begin to wonder is there a number of days or months or even years when family or friends should stop thinking about the one or ones they have lost.As Luna searches her mother's past, mystery piles upon mystery.  Some times love is complicated.

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.
