 Cassady and Kyle live in California. Their homes are close to  MGM Studios.They like to visit the back lot of the studio. This is where they discover houses that were used in famous movies and television shows like Leave It To Beaver." The boys return more than once. Now, this place is old and looks unused. The place is full of nostalgia and "things that "go bump in the night." It is fun to read because it is unknown what you will find around the next corner. It might leave you feeling jittery because there is a cemetery to walk through and some sort of mist that appears.Many reactions might occur. You might tear up or you might laugh. However, there are definitely serious moments in the novel. Whatever you do give this book a chance. Are there really ghosts?

 Charlie is leaving Lancashire for New York. It is her first time visiting there. She is so excited. In her shoes, I would feel the same way. The trip on the plane goes well. Everything is great until she figures it out. Harry Taylor is not there to meet her.  It is such a horrible feeling to experience what is happening to her. She spends hours at the airport and find she does not have enough information with her. The story goes on. Although I have never had this experience, I almost feel her pain. It is a wonderful book. We definitely learn about Charlie.When all we want to know is where is Harry. Walking this woman back and forth as she tries to think what to tell her parents, etc. leaves the heart pumping faster and faster. You really feel like crying for her. This is not the way I pictured her New York Christmas. By the way, Lancashire is near London.

 My family must own some secrets too. It seems the normal thing. If they have any skeletons rattling in the closet,  they have been more than silent. At the moment, I am looking at all of them with suspicious eyes.  "In From The Cold" is about a family in turmoil. So many relationships cluttered with a hush. Since it is a novel, I can read it with the joy of being uninvolved. I do not know what happens to the body as we make up lies to cover truths. It is all done because we want to protect someone from pain. As we protect them, they look around and see and feel that some thing is not right about their life. The one who is keeping the secrets searches for ways to cover his dishonesty: drinking, sex, running. It is all just balls scattered on the floor. No one can walk through them.
